Quick answers

What should a small business phone system include?
A business number, calls and texts, voicemail, opening hours, call routing, and one shared record of every customer. Line has all of it in one app.
Do I need desk phones?
No. Line runs on your existing mobiles and laptops. Nothing to install and nothing to plug in.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at £4 a month with a UK number included. You pay for the calls and texts you use.

Everything a phone system should do, none of the kit

Add a person, change your hours, or reroute calls in a minute from your phone. No engineer, no cabinet, no contract.

Work number, personal phone
Customers call your business number and it rings your mobile. Your personal number stays private.
One place for every customer
Calls, texts, voicemails, and notes sit in one shared inbox. Anyone on the team can pick up where the last person left off.
You decide what happens next
Ring the team, text back, take a voicemail, or let Molly answer. Set different rules for open and closed hours.

Worth knowing

The old landline network switches off in January 2027
Openreach is retiring the analogue phone network on 31 January 2027. A business still on a traditional landline needs a digital replacement before then. Moving early means you choose the timing, not your provider.
