# Export your data

> Request a ZIP of your own data, one contact's data or the whole workspace. Line emails you a download link. The link expires after seven days.

Line exports data as a ZIP file. You request the export in the app. Line emails you a link to the file. The link expires after seven days.

## What you can export

| Export | Contains | Who can request it |
|---|---|---|
| Your own data | Your profile, your memberships, your last sign-in and your recorded sign-ins | Any signed-in person |
| One contact | The records for that contact | Owner or Admin |
| The whole workspace | The workspace records, with links to its files | Owner only |

Links to files inside the ZIP also expire after seven days.

## Export your own data

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Select **Profile**.
3. In **Export my data**, select **Request export**.

## Export one contact

1. Open **Contacts**.
2. Select the contact.
3. Select **Export data**.

## Export the whole workspace

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Select **Organisation Settings**.
3. In **Export workspace data**, select **Request export**.

The message "We will email your export link" shows when Line accepts the request.

## Common problems

**I do not see Export workspace data.** Only the workspace Owner sees it.

**The download link does not work.** The link expired after seven days. Request a new export.
